We ate out a fair bit more than usual, and found new favourite dishes at some of our favourite restaurants, - the beef curry and chicken tikka at Dhaba are excellent, and a new favourite place in Star Kabab - the Kitchi Biryani was the best yet, and their broast chicken pieces are full of flavour!
Some photos below, but usually we were too busy eating to take pics!
Take-away lunch from the street stall close to DCC2 Market - I don't trust the plates there, but the food itself is fine!Channa-dhal, parathas, fish curry, and mixed veg. I send the driver in to buy, as we would soon gather a crowd!
Dahi-phuchka at Dhaba - crispy shells filled with tomato/onion/chilli chutney, potato curry, with a yoghurt and tamarind sauce and sprinkled with crunchy vermicelli
Aloo tikki - a spicy Indian potato croquette at dhaba
Snacks at Gulshan 1 market - the vegetable Shingara (a Bengali Samosa) and jelabis (deep fried batter scrolls soaked in syrup) were excellent
Kababs at Star Kabab in Banani - so good we went back again
"Rolls" at Roll Express in Banani - your choice of filling in a paratha (fried flat bread) and rolled - the chicken tikka was very good indeed
Breakfast time on our day out in Old Dhaka - paratha with an omelette (sadly no chillis and onions today) rolled up
typical tea stall - Dad wasn't keen to try.

The Dahi-phuchka is much better than it sounds. Particularly the crunch is good.
