Or Shankaria Bazaar as it should be known - we went down a twisting maze of alleys to get there after leaving our car at a crossroads. Shankaria bazaar is a place known for its Hindu craftsmen, and is THE place for wedding accoutrements. Only 7.65% of Bangladesh's population is Hindu but in a country with over 142 million people - that is still a very large number of people!

a well earned snooze |
Late lunch at Al Razzaque - Trip Advisor's No 1 in Bangladesh (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g293936-d3608497-Reviews-Al_Razzaque-Dhaka_City_Dhaka_Division.html) - we just told our tour operator that we wanted to eat real Bangladeshi food - and by golly it was wonderful - tasty, and not overly hot we feasted on mutton, chicken biryani, huge prawns, and mixed fish, with some vegetable bhortas (mashes/mushes) for less than 10 euros for four. Such a shame that it would usually take us over an hour and half to get there! - we will be back though
