Males have 'bumps' in that area, two tiny ones, that is how you know. The female should have a little round dark 'hole' (for want of a better word) under her tale. Be careful they don't mate with each other - seriously! They might, and females can go on heat from 6 months. And although the males aren't that mature at that age, they will respond to it.
