but in our defence - a) we like beer, b) we live in a dry country (OK we as expats can get Heineken but not good beer) c) after a days sightseeing a cold beer and sunset are excellent companions...
Bhutan has a pretty reasonable beer Druk 11000, and even a white beer Red Panda
Nepal saw us try Everest - tastes weak, one was enough
Nepal Ice was ok
but Gurka (or Gorkha) was our beer of choice
One lunchtime trip to the American club in Dhaka saw us splash out on some Belgian favourites
Beerlao no longer has a monopoly in Laos, it just feels like it. Just as well it is very drinkable!
(oh and we found a Belgian bar in Luang Prabang)Thailand saw Singha (bleurgh) and Chang
and Bangkok another Belgian pub which also had cider from the UK!
