Some months are busier than others - and it feels like since coming back from India I've participated in quite a few activities outside of my usual routine
Another batik workshop at New Horizons school
A visit to the Nubuke Foundation and the Africa by Design exhibition
|
indigo mud cloth from Mali |
|
hand blown vases from Ghana |
|
Bob Grandy master kente weaver - live demonstration
|
Lon and I went to the International Skate Soccer match between Nigeria and Ghana
It was a great Sunday afternoon out - lively and full of music and fun
I also went to visit the Ghana Bead society for the first time
and a group of us went to visit a batik dyer in a different part of town, which has a slightly different style than we see often
The Alliance Francaise held a Francophone festival, with live music and food from French speaking countries
|
a rapper from CAR |
|
a "sapeur" from DRCongo |
One of my bi weekly regular activities is aqua aerobics - sadly both our teachers are leaving shortly
and a few of us even made it to the cinema to see Beauty and the Beast

Wow, Hazel, I'm impressed. You certainly make the most if this peripatetic life we lead.
