I made some dutch spice cookies - a bit like speculaas but using cookie cutter shapes instead of the traditional moulds which of course I don't have

they made the whole house smell heavenly - all spicy and cinnamony

three cheers for imports from Kenya, I have been able to make my traditional mince pies (ready made pastry and a jar!)

Ready made, ready to roll pastry??? I can't get that here in Holland in normal Dutch supermarkets....well not the sort I want! (can get leaves of puff pastry frozen) And mincemeat - I have to make a special trip to the Hague (new shop in the hague too). Lucky thing. Although I tend to be the only one who eats them!!!!
Have a good Christmas and New Year. M xx
