Monster mushroom


I couldn't resist this huge mushroom at the grocers this morning! (and it was the second smallest). Hope it's good to eat...

    made risotto with half of it last night, and some dried porcini, and poached chicken...was bloomin lovely.

    Mushroom itself..not super yum, nor super yukky - definately a better texture than tinned ones (slugs)- not too strong a taste.

    The rest going into chicken and mushroom pie for tea
